Our audiology center is run by our wonderful audilogist, Allison. We provide hearing tests for all ages. Our office specializes in hearing intruments, hearing aids, and custom ear plugs. Audiograms are a way of measuring hearing ability. It is a useful tool in diagnosing hearing issues commonly seen in the office. Here is an example of an audiogram. It measures one's ability to hear at different frequencies.

The most common form of hearing loss is noise induced deafness or sensorineural loss. This form of hearing loss is common in individuals exposed to loud noises such as rock concerts or gun shots.

Meniere's disease results in a severe loss at low frequencies. It is commonly seen in individuals with car systems that have powerful subwoofers.

Otosclerosis results in an audiogram with significant loss at all frequencies, often of around 40dB.
